Desiree Sale

Licensed Acupuncturist

…You (Desiree) have taught me so much about myself. I have gotten so much healthier physically and mentally. I really am a competently different person than I was a few years ago.

With her mind set on becoming an acupuncturist, Desiree Sale began her career in healthcare as a First Responder, then EMT at Alfred University in New York's Southern Tier. At Alfred, Desiree earned her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and Biology. Immediately after her undergraduate study, she attended the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in New York City where she earned her Master’s in Acupuncture. Desiree's clinical training was at the Yu Wen Acupuncture Clinic in Manhattan, and at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, in an acupuncture for pain management study.

While a student in acupuncture school, Desiree interned at HealthGuru.com contributing medical research and expertise as well as creating graphics for their educational health videos.

She co-founded and served on the boards of Global Clinic and the Roc City Health Project, not-for-profits that bring acupuncture and other healing modalities to populations with limited access to healthcare. She also helped to organize and host a series of health fairs in the Rochester area, while working at Points of Harmony Acupuncture and at organic spa Blu Water. Stephen Sedita

Licensed Acupuncturist

…You (Desiree) have taught me so much about myself. I have gotten so much healthier physically and mentally. I really am a competently different person than I was a few years ago.

Stephen Sedita LAc has a strong background in science and medicine. He earned a Cognitive Science degree from the University of Rochester in 2003 and then spent 5 years working towards a PhD for Complex Systems and Brain Sciences at Florida Atlantic University. His research involved fMRI brain imaging studies in the areas of motor coordination and mild brain injury. While still working towards his PhD, Stephen began acupuncture school. He received his masters degree in Oriental Medicine from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in 2011 and has been practicing in cities across the United States since then.

Stephen combines his knowledge of the workings of the brain and nervous system with Traditional Oriental Medical theory. He too specializes in neurology and neurological conditions. Stephen enjoys staying up to date on the latest acupuncture research and developments. His practice and experience have led him to understand the deep connections between mental, emotional, and physical symptoms; in order to achieve true healing the provider needs to address a person as a whole. To this effect he incorporates lifestyle and nutritional recommendations that patients can incorporate on their own to achieve better health and a more positive life.

Stephen also has specialized training in Tui Na which is a type of medical massage developed in China and is an integral component in Chinese medicine. He has been incorporating Tui Na into his practice since 2013. Tuina is especially useful when working on young children. He also has great success using an acupuncture laser that can be used to treat children or people looking for needless acupuncture. Stephen is also very sucessfull with E-Stim also known as Electric Stimulation.
